Miele's speed ovens are truly a two in one appliance. Unlike other microwaves with convection ability thrown in as an afterthought, Miele's speed oven concept gives both cooking technologies equal billing, and provides a complete feature set that allows the unit to function as a full fledged microwave, full fledged convection oven, or both in combined cooking mode.

The "speed" in "speed oven" comes from the ability to combine both traditional thermal and microwave cooking technologies into a single cycle. In combination mode, food cooks faster and more evenly, and in some cases cooking time can be reduced by as much as 30%.

Most of the interior features of Miele's steam and wall ovens carry over to this model, including the PerfectClean finish stainless steel interior. One baking and roasting rack and one microwave compatible glass tray are included in the box.

A variety of cooking modes are provided for superior results. Specialty modes like Gentle Bake, Auto Roast, and Combi Auto Roast are available to help you tackle a wide variety of cooking tasks. This model is equipped with Miele's DirectSelect controls incorporating easy to use electronic knobs, and a white LED status readout. When not in use, the control knobs can retract to provide a clean, snag-free facade.

Stainless Steel Oven Interior - Ample space for creativity: Miele's steam oven offers up to 80 liters of usable capacity. Food for a complete meal can be cooked simultaneously for 8-10 people. There is also enough space in the cooking compartment for larger items of food such as poultry and whole fish. When steam is used for cooking food, Miele cabinets are always made from stainless steel. This professional cabinet is completely rust free and easy to clean.

CoolFront Exterior - Miele ovens are cooled on all sides. This keeps the control panel and handle areas as well as adjacent cabinetry relatively cool. The multi-layer panels insulate the oven door effectively and ensure a lower temperature on the outside of the door, providing greater safety and protection against burns.
