The KFED500 is a feature packed double oven range that's built with KitchenAid's quality and eye for features that cooks demand. Double ovens in this model provide even more flexibility with the ability to cook two dishes at two different temperatures at the same time.
KitchenAid's electric cooking surfaces use intelligent cycling of burner elements, automatically adjusting and alternating burner coils according to your temperature setting to provide even, consistent heat. The premium ceramic glass surface of this model is attractive and easy to clean, and allows you to easy move cookware on and off burners. For maximum flexibility, the triple ring main burner can be set to 12, 9, or 6 inches to match the size of cookware you use it with. It features a maximum output of 2700 watts on the largest setting, perfect for preheating large skillets or boiling a big pot of water. The dedicated center warming zone burner provides a place to keep a prepared dish hot while you work on another.
The EasyConvect conversion system can automatically adjust cooking times and temperatures to their convection equivalents for traditional recipes. Take the guesswork out of your cooking and produce better results!
Inside the oven, a SatinGlide lower rack is captive on ball bearing runners, and can be fully extended while loaded. It easily glides in and out for loading and unloading without hassle.
The glass touch oven controls provide an intuitive and easy to use interface for controlling your oven. They respond to just a light touch of your fingers. The burner control knobs are made of solid metal for heavy duty use and lasting dependability.

Hidden Bake Element - The heating element is located beneath the oven floor, where it is protected from spills, drips, and impacts that could result in costly damage. This leaves the bottom of the oven clean and smooth, better looking, and easier to clean. |
|
Convection Cooking - Utilizes a built in fan to circulate hot air throughout the oven compartment during baking and roasting. Convection results in more even cooking results even across multiple racks. |
